Professor of Practice
Damjan Krnjević Mišković is a veteran UN and Serbian senior diplomat
with decades of experience as a political strategist, energy consultant, and
crisis counselor in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Now based in Baku, Azerbaijan, he serves as Professor of Practice in
Geopolitics at ADA University and Director for Policy Research and Analysis at
its Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD). He is also a Fellow at the
Germany-based Agora Strategy Institute, where he focuses on Eurasian affairs.
Former appointments include: Senior Strategist and Chief Speechwriter
for the Serbian Candidate for UN Secretary-General (2015-2016); Senior Special
Advisor to the President of the UN General Assembly (2012 2013); Senior Adviser
to the Foreign Minister of Serbia (2007-2012); Director of Policy Planning and
Analysis of the Presidential Administration of Serbia (2006 2007); Special
Adviser to the President of Serbia (2004 2006); and Managing Editor of the
Washington, DC-based journal The National Interest (2002 2004).
